This darling boy is a gift in my life.  His father belonged to my friend Elaine Magee, and Cain fathered over 20 Grands in his too short career - he was a gorgeous cat with the most wonderful disposition.  Shortly after he bred Phoenix's mom, Nita, Cain had to be released from this life due to a fast growing lymphoma.  The consulting veterinarians assure us that his condition was in no way genetic.  Phoenix was born 2 months later and a singleton kitten - he is the last official Cain baby.  His official name is an homage to a very special dad.

From early on Phoenix showed himself worthy of his lofty parentage. He's a charming silly sweet boy and loves to show off his personality in the show hall.  He'll sit on my lap here in the computer room and lick me for just about hours if I let him and purr purr purr... and he loves being in hotel rooms with mom, where he can curl up on my head and purr all night :-)  

He's always been happy to be handled and cuddled by anyone - this is a cat who knows no strangers!  I am glad he granded when he did however, as at 10 months he's becoming a little more aware of girls and thereby a little more concerned with all those hormonal boys in the showhall!  Now he can stay home and start meeting some of those girls :-)  I can't wait to see his babies.
